Concord, Calif. Mayor Laura Hoffmeister officially opened the doors of Seafood City on Nov. 4 with the help of the giant chain's chair Steve and Pacita Go, Joe Pecho, boxing champ Ana Julaton, Consul Alfonso Ver, Seafood City marketing manager Cathy Quien, and Tom Castro. 

Citing 18 as a lucky number, Steve Go believes quality-minded, price-conscious shoppers craving the products, cuisine, and hospitality of the ancestral homeland will appreciate the 18th Seafood City in the western United States.
