FEBRUARY 19, 2013, PHILIPPINESAs ratings continue to surge for TV5’s hit primetime series Kidlat, new loves and new villains were officially introduced today at the Plaza Ibarra’s Party Venues in Timog, Quezon City. In the upcoming episodes, everyone’s favorite superhero will find himself choosing among three potential love interests.

One of the ladies is the strong-willed Joey played by FHM cover girl Ritz Azul. Audiences already caught a glimpse of her during the Kidlat Movie Special but as the story progresses, Ritz promises that viewers will see more of who Joey is.

Adding a bit of spice to Voltaire’s life is sassy and sophisticated Natasha, played by newcomer Valerie Weigmann. The Filipina-German model makes her acting debut in Kidlat as a fashion designer who will eventually become villainess Enigma. Though a little nervous to be part of a successful series, Valerie admits that she’s more excited to meet everyone—particularly her new leading man. “Excited at kahit paano kinabahan din ako. I've heard so many good things about [Derek] like how he’s a gentleman. I can’t wait to finally work with him.” Even though she’s a newbie, Valerie is well aware of her co-star's reputation for being a ladies man. When asked if she’s ready to be linked to Derek, Valerie replied coyly, “Let’s just see what happens.”

After Nadine Samonte’s untimely exit from the show, fans immediately took to social media to express their sadness over the loss of one of the show’s favorite characters. But now, fans of the Lara-Voltaire love team will have reason to celebrate with this week’s biggest twist—Lara's return.

Stirring up trouble for our hero is a new crop of villains. Artista Academy graduates Shaira Mae and Mark Neumann play twins Frosta and Fuego who possess the power to produce ice and fire. Paolo Ballesteros joins the cast as Warla, a beautiful villain with feminine features who has superhuman strength and impressive combat skills. Finally, Kidlat faces Graba Man (Wendell Ramos) once again as Vincent (Baron Geisler) continues to plot more ways to take down the electrifying hero.

Kidlatairs weeknights at these times 7:45pm KSA, 5:45pm UK, 2:45am Guam, 5:30pm NA PST, and 8:30pm NA EST only on Kapatid TV5.

MANILA  -- Following the reported squabble between married couple Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla, a love scene between the action star and Anne Curtis for their primetime series is no longer likely to happen.

Kris Aquino and Robin Padilla portray Roxanne and Bogs in "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw"

At the sidelines of a press conference held Tuesday night for the launch of her latest endorsement, Curtis expressed her hesitation to do a "love scene" with Padilla in "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw."
This comes after the actor's intimate scenes with Kris Aquino, his other leading lady in the ABS-CBN series, had Rodriguez removing her wedding ring admittedly out of jealousy.
"If ever... anything, knowing how Mariel feels about of course her husband, I understand that and I'd rather not go to that extent to upset her. So siyempre as a woman I give respect to that. I'd rather not na lang," Curtis said.
Early this month, Padilla admitted on live television that his wife of three years had given back her wedding ring supposedly after watching his scenes with Aquino. In one episode of "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw," Bogs (Padilla) and Roxanne (Aquino) are seen exchanging vows, before going on a honeymoon trip to Boracay.

MANILA, Philippines -- Host-actress Kris Aquino on Monday denied that she's coming back to the weekly entertainment news show "The Buzz."

"I'm not allowed to talk about it, so don't ask me na lang. But I'm not going back to 'The Buzz,' but there's something new, " Aquino told reporters in an interview after her morning show "KrisTV."

Asked if it's true that she will host a new game show, Aquino replied: "Basta I'm not allowed. Baka bawiin. Behave na lang ako."

There have been speculations in showbiz circles that Aquino will be doing a talk show with her good friend and "The Buzz" host Boy Abunda.

MANILA  - Jinkee Pacquiao happily said that her relationship with her husband, boxer Manny Pacquiao, is stronger than ever.

In an interview on the ABS-CBN morning show "Kris TV" hosted by Kris Aquino, Jinkee shared the "secret" to their lasting marriage.

"The love that never fades and God, kasi 'yun ang pinakasentro sa aming relationship ngayon. Kasi kapag nawala 'yung love, wala na," said Jinkee, who has been through a lot after the rumored affair of her husband with former actress Krista Ranillo.

Jinkee stressed that she has made it a point to move on from the past and forget the hatred she felt because of the rumored affair.

"Yes, pabayaan na natin siyang manahimik. Good for her. Past na naman 'yon. Past is past," she said without directly naming Ranillo, who is now living in the United States with her family.

While she is happy with the state of her marriage, Jinkee admitted that there was a time when her husband was linked to different women because of his fame.

"Medyo lumiko lang ng ibang landas. Minsan naiimpluwensiyahan ka ng pagiging famous mo. Hindi kasi 'yun ang dati mong buhay and then parang nabigla ka. Ang alam niya may gusto na sa kanya, so grab the opportunity, go. Kaya dumarami sila, actually," she said. "Minsan may mga bodyguard, minsan kapag may nagustuhan, o 'pag naglalakad minsan 'yung mga mata [inuutos] sa bodyguard 'o number, ganoon.' Kapag may mga tao ka, sila ang nagwo-work para sa iyo."

Asked if the "bad influence" is already out of her husband's life, Jinkee said: "Unti-unti nang nawawala kasi kapag nagbago na ang amo, dapat 'yung mga kasamahan ay nagbago na rin. Ito [si Manny] bawal nang magsigarilyo, uminom, bawal na lahat."

Jinkee said her husband wants to have four more children -- bringing the total number of their kids to eight.

"Gusto niya eight kasi naka-eight world titles, gusto niya ang anak niya ay eight din," she said.

Manny interview omitted

In the "Kris TV" episode, Manny was never heard talking.

Aquino said they had to edit the episode and remove the boxer's interview to avoid conflicts with the rival network.

"Can I say something?

Kasi baka sabihin nila it's unfair, inimbita tapos hindi man lang kinausap. Hindi po, hindi pinayagan magsalita," Aquino said.

MANILA – Senatorial candidate Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito admitted Friday that he used to go out with TV host and presidential sister Kris Aquino.

Speaking to ANC, Ejercito admitted that he and Aquino were very good friends. He described Aquino as “a different character.”

“We dated but we were very good friends…We went out a couple of times but I think she’s kinda very strong and she’s really a different character. Probably that’s why people love her, her being candid and very honest,” he said.

Ejercito is married to former beauty contest runner-up Ma. Hyacinth Lotuaco while Aquino just had her marriage to basketball star James Yap annulled. Ejercito and Aquino are both scions of political families – Ejercito’s father is former President Joseph Estrada while Aquino’s mother is the late President Cory Aquino.
