DALY CITY – San Mateo County Supervisor David J. Canepa applauds the California Labor Commissioner’s Office citations resulting in a total fine of $5.16 million and stands in solidarity with the workers of Kome Restaurant in Daly City in response to the latest news that Kome is now closed and laid-off 70-80 workers.
“This is a perfect example of what happens when you don’t follow the rules,” Canepa said. “I stand in solidarity with the workers and our office is here to lend help to them.”
In reference to the multiple wage violations, Canepa added, “No employee should suffer such abuse.”
