SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique — The team LCD, composed of Senator Loren Legarda for congresswoman, re-electionists Antique Governor RhodoraCadiao, and Vice-Governor Edgar Denosta, is ready to file their certificates of candidacy (COCs) in the first week of October, the period set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the 2019 midterm polls.

During a press briefing recently, Cadiao said they met last September 9 to formalize the team and those who will be running with them in the provincial and municipal levels.

“I will be with the NUP (National Unity Party) while Loren will be with the NPC (National People’s Coalition),”she said.

She said team LCD, which stand for Legarda, Cadioa, Denosta, is affiliated with Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte and her father, President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s group.

Cadiao said Legarda, a veteran politician, wanted their group to be formed earlier.

“We are going to have neophytes and reelectionists in our slate,” she said.

Meanwhile, Cadiao said Legarda is a humble public servant, who is wiling to serve the Antiqueños, whom she is dearly concerned with.

“Senator Legarda is humbling herself and will run as congresswoman because she wants to help her fellow Antiqueños,”Cadiao said.

She said Legarda, who also comes from the Gella political clan, would also like to leave a legacy to her provincemates. (PNA)
