As founder of MOBILE SIGNING SERVICES, I would like to share to our readers and the general public what happened last Tuesday, October, 23, 2018 while I was waiting for the release of documents I notarized at the authenticated documents release counter of the Philippine Consulate Office, 6th floor, 447 Sutter Street in San Francisco, California.
Johnny from San Jose, California called my cell phone (650)438-3531 and asked several questions about MOBILE SIGNING SERVICES as follows:
“Do you do home service and how much do you charge?”, he inquired.
“Yes, we do home services for those who can’t personally come to our office in San Francisco. We also visit clients who are at the hospitals, schools,.office and other locations. We charge $50 gas and mileage fees for clients we visit in San Francisco and Daly City. For clients outside San Francisco and Daly City, we charge $60 for gas and mileage fees., I responded
“Do you also follow-up notarized documents for authentication at the Philippine Consulate,” Johnny asked next.
“Yes, through our MOBILE SIGNING SERVICES, we follow-up for authentication documents notarized by experienced and accredited Notary Public for those who can’t personally go to the Philippine Consulate during regular office hours or those who are physically handicapped to go like the elderly “kababayans,” veterans and those confined at the hospitals,” I explained.
“What’s the normal turn-around for the release and delivery of authenticated documents,” Johnny further asked.
“ Based on our experience, for clients in San Francisco and Daly City, the normal turn -around and delivery of authenticated documents is 1-2 days. For clients outside San Francisco and Daly City, the normal turn-around and delivery of authenticated documents is 2-3 days, But why are you asking all these questions” I asked Johnny.
“Well, before I read your columns on MOBILE SIGNING SERVICES in the Philippines Today and Philippine News, I had a Special Power of Attorney notarized by an accredited Notary Public who doesn’t offer your additional services and assistance. I mailed the notarized SPA together with $25 money order for authentication fee and self-addressed- stamped envelop to the Philippine Consulate Office in San Francisco. California. It’s already more than three weeks but I haven’t received the authenticated SPA from the Philippine Consulate. I wish I had availed myself with your help and assistance through MOBILE SIGNING SERVICES” Johnny explained in exasperation.
“I’m sorry for what had happened to you Johnny. I suspect that there is missing item, or missing information and/or enclosures in the SPA you submitted which resulted in the delay of the processing and authentication of the submitted SPA. I advise you to go to the Philippine Consulate Office (6th Floor), bring your file copy of the submitted SPA and ask the staff at the counter what happened,” I finally told Johnny
