After Manny Pacquiao’s successful defense of his WBA welterweight belt on Sunday, a rematch with Floyd Mayweather is possible, said Filipino boxing analyst Dennis Principe.

In Jam Sisante-Cayco’s report on GMA’s 24 Oras, Principe cited Mayweather’s presence in the Pacquiao-Broner match as an indication.

“Probably ina-assess naniya kung ano ‘yungnakikitaniyangpwedeniyang fight plan nagamitin, kung nagbagoba o hindisi Manny Pacquiao. (He was probably assessing what flight plan he could use based on what he was seeing, whether Pacquiao’s [fight stance] changed or not.),” he said.

Mayweather defeated Pacquiao by unanimous decision during their match in 2015.

The analyst also said that Pacman’s performance was impressive, considering that he is now 40 years old.

“He is a freak of nature,” Principe said. “Hindi mosiyamaikukumparasakahitanongboksingero. Si Manny Pacquiaolangang, at age 40, nagawa pa niyangibalik ‘yungklase ng laronameronsiyanung 32, 33 years old pa lamangsiya. (You cannot compare him to other boxers. Only Manny Pacquiao, at age 40, did the kind of fight he used to do when he was 32, 33 years old.)”
