The painter showcases portraitures of Filipino minorities and women garbed in delicate Filipiniana attire. An annual event to commemorate the month of October as Filipino Historical month in the United States by The Philippine Institute of Language, Arts and Culture (PILAC) and the Filipino Cultural Center (FCC). The portrait above shows Minerva “Minnie” Cagatao, a 1971 Miss Republic of the Philippines, in a “Traje de Mestiza” by traditional Filipino fashion designer Patis Tesoro. The cultural art will have it opening cocktails at 7 PM, October 13, 2018. It will have its closing event at 12 Noon, October 27, 2018, to coincide with the judging and awarding of those who submitted their photographic entries in a photo competition highlighting Filipinos and their cultural values.
