Senator Bam Aquino remained as the only opposition standing in the Magic 12 of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, one month before the May elections.
Senator Bam placed 12th in the Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from March 28 to 31, with 29 percent. The survey had 1,371 respondents.
In another pre-election poll, Senator Bam placed eighth in the Magdalo survey with 34.5 percent. This was a slight improvement from his ninth-place finsh in the Magdalo’s March 5-7 survey where he garnered 32.6 percent.
In a statement, Senator Bam thanked the Filipino people for their continued trust and support, amid the propagation of fake news and black propaganda to destroy his track record.
“Nagpapasalamat tayo sa ating mga kababayan sa patuloy na tiwala. Inspirasyon po natin ang mga supporters at volunteers na nagtutulungan at gumagawa ng paraan para makatulong sa kampanya at labanan ang fake news na ibinabato sa akin,” (I am thankful to our countrymen for their continued trust. Our supporters and volunteers are our inspiration who help each other in the campaign against fake news thrown at me.), said SenAtor Bam.
“Lalo tayong sumisigla kapag nakikita natin na sila na mismo ang nagbabahay-bahay para sabihin ang katotohanan,” (The more we get excited when we see that they are the ones who do house to house campaign to spread the truth.), he added.
With the help of his supporters and volunteers, Senator Bam is confident that his standing in the surveys will further improve in the coming weeks.
If he wins a second term, Senator Bam has promised to work for the passage of his Trabaho Center Bill that will help ensure job availability for K-12 and college students once they receive their diploma. (Bagong Senado)
