Senatorial bets maximize weekend to convince voters

Senatorial candidates wasted none of the few remaining days for campaigning before election day on May 13 by continuing to meet the public over the weekend.

According to a report by Victoria Tulad in GMA’s 24 Oras Weekend on Sunday, Gary Alejano campaigned in Batangas while Bam Aquino attended an El Shaddai event in Parañaque City and visited Quezon City and Iloilo over the weekend.

Opposition bets Chel Diokno, Erin Tañada, and Samira Gutoc also made rounds in Quezon City.

Mar Roxas and Sonny Angara had their respective campaign activities in Batangas.

Angara was with Jinggoy Estrada, Imee Marcos, Bong Revilla, Cynthia Villar and JV Ejercito at the El Shaddai event.

Ejercito also visited Nueva Ecija and Quezon City; Villar interacted with voters in Alabang.

Meanwhile, Jiggy Manicad campaigned in Quezon City. Some of the voters there likewise met Bato Dela Rosa who was also present at the El Shaddai gathering in Parañaque.

Bong Go spent time wooing voters in Taguig and was also presented before El Shaddai devotees with Koko Pimentel, Francis Tolentino, Elmer Francisco, Dado Padilla, Willie Ong, Nancy Binay, and Grace Poe.

Binay also visited Tacloban while Poe campaigned in Quezon City.

Shariff Albani was in Manila and Neri Colmenares made rounds in Quezon City. Leody De Guzman attended an event with Colmenares on Saturday.

Sonny Matula met some voters in Laguna while Larry Gadon visited Pampanga.

Lito Lapid also campaigned in Pampanga and Mandaluyong.
