SAN FRANCISCO, CA- The San Francisco based United Pangasinanes of America, Inc. will hold its Leadership Conference and Youth Summit Saturday, October20, 2018 at the Pangasinan Center on 5028 Mission Street in this city. The event will start at 10:00 in the morning and will conclude at 3:00pm, according to press announcement made by its current President Mario Cendana-Panoringan.
Chairman of the event is Board of Director Rudy Fernandez, a Life Member of the association with Past President Alvin Padilla serving as Co-Chairman. The event is geared towards achieving and promoting political, social, civic, economic as well as developing our youth as future leaders in our community.
Among those invited to grace the event as speakers include Consul General Henry Bensurto, Jr. of the Philippine Consulate, Father Abraham Alonzo, USF Professor Anthony Villegas, School Board Members Cynthia Ruehlig and Walter Ruehlig and El Camino High School Student Government Adviser Derek Padilla. Topics will be presented in the areas of Leadership, Community Involvement, Parliamentary Procedure and Youth Development.
The Philippine Consulate will also make a presentation on “Dual Citizenship” and will discuss its “One Stop Shop” service approach in serving the Filipino American Community in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
The Leadership Conference and Youth Summit is free to all UPAI members and their guests.
