Senator Yee receives perfect marks on consumer scorecard
SACRAMENTO – Senator Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) was one of only eight senators to receive a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2012 legislative scorecard issued this week by the Consumer Federation of California.
The Consumer Federation looked at legislators’ votes on a range of legislative proposals, including utility regulation, access to civil justice, truth in advertising, debt collect practices, insurance policyholder protection, and corporate accountability.
The Consumer Federation of California is a non-profit advocacy organization. Since 1960, the Consumer Federation has been a powerful voice for consumer rights. CFC campaigns for state and federal laws that place consumer protection ahead of corporate profit.
